That is my cute, observant, lil' sister (now in her very late fifties ha-ha) learning to behave, Belinda. Super-savvy eh ?!
Watching my chastisement.
A flexible, rattan switch applied to the bare, fairy-skinned botty is mighty harmless & salutary as this lovely drawing illustrates. No harm done. Oh my !...and as I ruefully first discovered this exact fate myself from mom, as a naughty lil' girl at a tender, young age at home back in the early 1960s !!
My sister observed like this & tried to tame her own tantrums for fear of a whooping. The cane lived in the downstairs cupboard for our bare bottoms. Thank the Lord for that.
A mother's chastisement is always loving & kind but fierce, Belinda.
