In 1960s/70s Georgia, public spankings on the beach, in the park & shopping malls/stores were bare bottom spankings! No PC prevailed.
It was common & compelling to see. Surprisingly, I never gotten smacked in public...sadly!
Oh my! I sure wish I had!! My mom was always very private & tactful yet very firm with discipline.
Sister & me had to wait (scary car journey!) until we gotten home & then it was the cane on my bare botty, and sent to my room.
