Back in the 1960s, our lovely, elderly, pious neighbours gotten to call my bare ass whoopings, (which they heard a bunch!) a "Biblical Switching." That was unusual & scary for me as a lil' Christian-raised girl. Albeit it made sense in our Church community.
But no lacerations, already !! :-)
