Par for the course in the South...although I am not sure Texas did much in WW2, already ha-ha. Love the humour. Love the way she is being held by the other guy. And with that third guy watching approvingly :)
In Atlanta, our Church preachers and pastors advocated corporal punishment at every turn. It was just normal for me in the 1960s. The leather strap or razor strop or belt was so common, but sister and me never gotten the strap. Instead we gotten the thin, rattan cane on a bare botty from mother, when we were naughty ("a switching"). It was just routine & normal.
I never thought about implications & consequences of countless knickers-down whoopings until I gotten older. Oh my! Sure licked me into shape.
