Putting in Jeopardy

When the German exchange student refused to help her with the midterm, the British student put a crib on her table. The professor noticed a peace of paper and thought that the German tried to cheat. Staying deaf to her excuses, he made her bend over in front of the whole class and gave her the Baker's Dozen with the cane.

  1. Oh my! Wow! Superlative, Belinda. One for my memoirs.
Happy memories of strict yore. So reminds me viscerally - my lovely, lil' sister (now nearly 60 ha-ha) just gotten spanked by mom.

Spanking was an understatement. It was best avoided.
From a young age, 1960s, when naughty we gotten to convene in the living room to bend over the sofa. We gotten our 1950s canary yellow dresses hoisted & our 1950s cotton, white knickers pulled down to our knees for a baker's dozen with the cane on a bare botty. That was the punishment.

Mother's thin, rattan cane was called the "switch". It lived in the downstairs cupboard. Sis & me called it the "hornets nest."
Oh my! We screamed a bunch - it was real Hell on a bare popo!!!
But harmless & most necessary. Then we gotten sent to our rooms.

This was just good parenting & normal chastisement in our house & traditional, Church community. Y'all advocated it.
It whipped me into shape & I learned the value of firm discipline, Belinda.
    Hugs & thanks
    Strict Mommy Brenda xx
