DeleteThank you Belinda. Just to be clear on facts, my sister or me never had to kneel on grits when punished growing up in the 1960s (that is strange & not kind or necessary!)
ReplyDeleteThe botty-smacker in our house was not actually a leather strap but was of course, momma's dreaded cane, from a young age. But yes, it was always applied to our bare buttocks from the first to the last. That was the punishment.
